What do I need to know about the Bank Alfalah American Express Gold Credit Card?
The Bank Alfalah American Express Gold Credit Card combines cashback with travel benefits. New cardholders earn 5% cashback on all spends in the first 3 months, capped at Rs. 6,000. After that, the card earns up to 1.5% cashback on local and international purchases. It also gives access to airport lounges in Pakistan, discounts of up to 50% on dining and shopping, and billing in Pak Rupees.
You choose how much to pay each month. You can pay the full amount and keep the interest-free period, or pay as little as 5% of the bill and carry the balance to the next statement. Keep in mind that the remaining balance is charged with interest.
Who can apply?
If you are a salaried applicant, you need a minimum gross income of PKR 50,000, at least 1 month of employment experience and an age between 21 and 60 years.
If you are a self-employed professional or businessman, the minimum gross income is PKR 75,000. You also need at least 1 year of experience and an age between 21 and 70 years.
The same criteria of the self-employed profile apply to supplementary card applicants: PKR 75,000 of minimum gross income, 1 year of experience and an age between 21 and 70 years.
What documents do I need?
Salaried applicants:
- Copy of your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Current salary slip or salary letter with breakup.
- If your company is not on the bank’s panel, a bank statement showing 3 months of salary credit.
Self-employed professionals and businessmen:
- Copy of your CNIC.
- Computerized personal bank statement for the last six months, on the bank’s original letterhead.
The bank may ask for additional documents depending on the case, such as partnership documents or professional certificates.
