Absa Student Credit Card

The requirements to apply for the Absa Student Credit Card are:

  • Be between 18 to 30 years old
  • Minimum monthly income of R800 or subsidy in this amount
  • You must be a registered full-time student at a FET college, SAQA-approved institution, university, university of technology, or private institution

You must submit the following documents at the time of application:

  • Valid South African ID card or smart card
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income for the last three months of the holder or subsidiary
  • Student bond proof

Fulfilling the requirements and in possession of the documentation, you will be able to fill in the Absa premium credit card application form. Absa bank may request other documents if it feels the need.

Where can I find the Absa Student Credit Card application form?

In Absa’s internet banking, you will find the form to fill out. Follow these steps:

  • Click the “Apply” button at the bottom of the page
  • On the Online Account Application page, enter the characters shown in the image
  • Please complete the six-step assessment
  • You can Save and continue later or Continue through each stage of your trial
  • Click Apply when you have completed your assessment

Absa will analyze your request and within 3 business days, you will receive a response. If accepted by the bank, your card will be generated and linked to your Absa account and will arrive at your home in a few days.

Where can I pay my Absa Student Credit Card bills?

On the Absa application or online banking, you will find all the accessibilities of your card. At the end of your period of use, an invoice for expenses will be generated with a due date equal to the one selected by you. This invoice can be paid in the following ways:

  • Automatic debit from your account on the due date
  • Ticket payable at any bank
  • Deposit directly in the branches’ boxes
