The Bank Alfalah American Express Gold Credit Card is available in Pakistan only through Bank Alfalah. It was designed for people who spend regularly, travel and want their purchases to pay something back.
In the first 3 months, every purchase earns 5% cashback, capped at Rs. 6,000. After that, the card earns up to 1.5% cashback on local and international spending. The monthly cap is PKR 2,500 for local retail purchases and PKR 5,000 for international ones.
If you travel often, the card gives complimentary access to CIP lounges for international departures in Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Sialkot, and to the Majestic Lounge in Karachi. For domestic departures, you can use the Bank Alfalah Premier Lounge at Karachi airport and take one guest per visit.
You can also share the benefits with your family. The card allows up to 6 supplementary cards for anyone aged 13 or older.
How does the card work abroad?
The card is accepted internationally and at American Express outlets in Pakistan. Even when you pay in US dollars or another currency, your bill comes in Pak Rupees.
Cardholders also have access to AMEX Offers, the American Express program of exclusive benefits and experiences. International and e-commerce transactions must be activated first, through the Alfa App or the Call Center.
